Consumer Product Recalls

Hazard: The recalled children's pajama sets violate flammability standards for children's sleepwear, posing a burn hazard and risk of serious injuries or death to children.

Hazard: The recalled child safety gates violate the federal safety regulation for expansion gates and expandable enclosures because a child's torso can fit through the opening between the gate slat and side wall, a child's torso can fit through the secondary opening, the locking mechanism does not fully engage and/or the gate does not resist a push-out force. These failures pose a risk of serious injury or death due to entrapment and fall hazards.

Hazard: The recalled magnetic fidget pill toy violates the mandatory federal regulation for magnets, posing an ingestion hazard to children. When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other, or another metal object, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting and/or blockage of the intestines, infection, blood poisoning and death.

Hazard: The lower seat belt anchor fasteners were not properly tightened, which can result in the seat belt separating from the vehicle frame, failing to protect riders. Without that protection, riders can be ejected from the vehicle in a crash, posing an injury hazard.

Hazard: The front brake caliper can crack, reducing the braking system's effectiveness, posing a crash hazard.

Hazard: The recalled bed rails violate federal regulations for adult portable bed rails, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. When the bed rails are attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress. In addition, the bed rails do not bear the required hazard warning labels.

Hazard: The recalled rollers tile toy violates the mandatory federal regulation for toy magnets because it contains a magnet that can become loose, posing an ingestion hazard to children. When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other, or other metal objects, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, infection, blood poisoning, and death.

Hazard: The recalled digital wall clocks violate the mandatory federal regulations for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries. The remote control for the clock has a lithium coin battery that can be easily accessed by children, posing an ingestion hazard. In addition, the recalled products do not have the warnings required under Reese's Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death.

Hazard: The Submersible RGB LED Light's remote control has a lithium coin battery that can be easily accessed by children, posing an ingestion hazard. This violates the mandatory federal regulations for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries. In addition, the recalled products do not have the required warnings. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death.

Hazard: The high chairs pose a deadly fall hazard to babies because the restraint system is not attached to the product and the locks or latches can fail. In addition, the high chairs pose an entrapment hazard because the opening between the seat and tray is large enough that a child can become entrapped in it. These are violations of the federal regulations for high chairs.

Hazard: The handheld hair dryers lack an immersion protection device and can cause death or serious injury due to electrocution or shock if the hair dryers fall into water when plugged in. The hair dryers are in violation of federal regulations for hair dryers and present a substantial product hazard.

Hazard: The hinges on the foldable rear kickstand support leg can crack or break, posing a fall hazard.

Hazard: Small amounts of gas can leak from the valve when it is in the open position, posing fire and burn hazards.

Hazard: The AC power adaptors can overheat and ignite, posing burn and fire hazards.

Hazard: The tow handle can pinch consumers' fingertips against the cooler, posing fingertip amputation and crushing hazards.

Hazard: The peg dolls' spherical ends can block the child's airway, posing a risk of choking and death to children.

Hazard: The bottom hole on the cable support posts is over four inches from the bottom of the base plate, posing an entrapment hazard to consumers.

Hazard: The candle's glass container can crack or break while the candle is burning, posing a laceration and fire hazard.

Hazard: The ball joint connected to the front suspension arm can loosen and separate from the front suspension arm, resulting in the driver losing wheel support of the utility vehicle, posing a crash hazard to consumers.

Hazard: The lithium-ion battery in the recalled portable chargers can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

Hazard: The pressure-cooking lid can be opened during use, causing hot contents to escape, posing a risk of burn injuries to consumers.

Hazard: The tea light candle holder can catch on fire, posing a fire and burn hazard.

Hazard: The painted hair clips contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead paint ban, posing a lead poisoning hazard to children. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.

Hazard: The recalled electric bicycle's lithium-ion battery can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

Hazard: The recalled ride-on toys can overheat due to improper wiring, posing a fire hazard.

Hazard: The primary gear for the crank shaft can fail, posing a crash hazard.

Hazard: The recalled shape sorter car toys contain balls that violate regulations banning small parts in toys intended for children under three years of age because they are a choking hazard, and can cause serious injury or death.

Hazard: The recalled butane torches violate the mandatory federal regulations for multipurpose lighters because they do not have the required child-resistant mechanisms, posing a risk of serious burn injuries or death to children.

Hazard: The controller on the recalled ride-on dump trucks can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.

Hazard: The recalled window blinds have long operating cords that can cause death or serious injury to children, due to strangulation and entanglement hazards. The window blinds are in violation of the federal regulations for window coverings and present a substantial product hazard.
