Hazard
A seat that moves may not properly restrain the occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
The remedy is currently under development. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed April 14, 2026. Another notice will be sent once the final remedy becomes available. Owners may contact Ricon customer service at 1-800-322-2884.

Description

Ricon Corporation (Ricon) is recalling certain R1200 series 6-Way and 4-Way Power Transfer Seat Base (PTSB) motorized seat bases. The PTSB gear motor may fail to lock the seat in place when certain forces are applied. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."
