Mack 2014 Power Train recall

Hazard
If the hex nuts are not tightened to specification, the driveshaft may disconnect from the drive axle, resulting in a loss of propulsion and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Mack will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the hex nut, tightening it to proper torque, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on November 30, 2015. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-528-6586. Mack's number for this recall is SC0397.

Description

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain model year 2014 Granite (GU) trucks manufactured January 1, 2013, to October 16, 2013, and equipped with certain drive axles manufactured by Marmon-Herrington. The affected axles are equipped with hex nuts on the flange yoke that may not have been properly tightened.
